在争议中合作了五年之后，蔚来汽车和江淮汽车再续了三年代工合同，并将年产能扩大到24万辆，以满足蔚来汽车日益增长的生产需求。
根据双方协议，蔚来汽车将负责车辆研发、供应链管理、生产技术和品质管理。而蔚来持股49%的合资公司将负责零部件组装和运营管理。
费用安排方面包括：投资用于制造蔚来汽车方面的资产发生的折旧和摊销、车辆生产和加工费、某些补偿性的费用、相关税费以及生产材料的采购。
早在今年三月，安徽江淮汽车集团股份有限公司就发布公告表示其已与蔚来控股有限公司签署合资意向书，并表达争取早日签订正式协议的意愿。双方拟在合肥市设立合资公司江来先进制造技术 (安徽) 有限公司。
早在2016年4月，蔚来汽车与江淮汽车签署了《制造合作框架协议》，确认江淮代工一期产能5万台的计划。前述协议的有效期为五年，自2016年4 月1日起至2021年3月31日止。在此期间，江淮汽车一直是蔚来汽车的代工方，截至目前蔚来汽车旗下几款量产车型皆由江淮汽车生产。
同一批的造车新势力中，最早由海马代工的小鹏汽车、由江铃代工的爱驰汽车都选择了自建工厂，而蔚来则坚持轻资产模式，此次成立江来汽车公司，也算是初涉制造领域。
Nio Extends Manufacturing Deal with JAC Till 2024
Chinese new energy vehicle maker Nio said it will renew its manufacturing partnership with Jianghuai Automobile Group for another three years.
JAC will continue manufacturing the Nio ES8, ES6, EC6, ET7, and potentially other models till May 2024, the Shanghai-headquartered electric carmaker said in a statement on its website on May 24.
The Hefei-based state-owned firm will expand its annual production capacity to 240,000 units to meet the rising demand.
Nio will be in charge of vehicle development, supply chain management, manufacturing techniques, and quality management, per the latest deal. The pair's joint venture, Jianglai Advanced Manufacturing Technology, will be responsible for parts assembly and operations. Nio has a 49 percent stake in the JV.
The fee arrangements consist of the following: (i) asset depreciation and amortization with regard to the assets JAC invested and to invest for the manufacture of NIO models as actually incurred, payable monthly and subject to adjustment annually; (ii) vehicle production and processing fees recorded on a per-vehicle basis, payable monthly and subject to adjustment annually; (iii) certain compensatory arrangement; (iv) relevant tax; and (v) purchase amount of certain production materials.
The new agreements allow NIO to benefit from economies of scale and manufacturing efficiency improvement in the future, according to the statement.
In April 2016, the pair penned an agreement for JAC to produce 50,000 units per year for Nio till March 2021.
